![]() Now, a little scenery for people who have never been to Asilomar. Sunday afternoon, before the Casino, I took a walk around the meadow, then on down to the beach. This is the Crocker Dining Hall, the inside of which you saw on the previous page. A bell in the little cupola atop the building rings to signal meal times. |
![]() The meadow, incidentally, is a circular bit of open area, which you see kind of smooshed between these two pictures. The building above, directly across the meadow from the dining hall, is Chapel. Inside, Chapel looks like a small auditorium, and it was in Chapel that Edward Teller addressed Asilomar attendees some years back. |
