To the Editor: Congratulations on becoming editor of Going Forward! Being the first editor, I had the pleasure and privilege of diapering and burping "the baby." Now the job of helping it grow and go further out into the world is yours. I know that with you providing the guidance, it will toddle forth on strong and confident feet. May you have the joy I have experienced with the staff and the contributors. Uh oh, I'm missing it already. Please make sure I'm on the subscriber list. The Joyce (TJ) Lundeen

 Dear Going Forward Readers,
This issue has been a long time coming to you, but we're back on track (and hopefully, a more or less regular printing schedule). For those of you who don't know me, I've served Mensa in a variety of local offices, as InterLoc editor, and as AMC Membership Officer under both Dick Amyx and Dave Remine as Chairmen.
As with virtually anything of value, those of us on the Going Forward staff have slightly differing views of this publication's purpose. My perspective is that Going Forward offers a medium for Mensa members to express their views, regardless of whether or not those views are popular or whether they adhere to the current vogue. We hope we will cause you to ask questions, to formulate your own beliefs, and to communicate your ideas to other members. This is a forum in which to express your concerns about Mensa, and also a forum in which to state what is right within Mensa. I believe Going Forward should present articles of interest or benefit to our subscribers.
Huge amounts of help from Going Forward staff and various writers made it possible to put this issue in your hands. I want to say a large "Thank You" to Angie Richardson, Helen Lee Moore, and Jon Lundeen, and also to each and every author in this issue. Your contributions help make it possible for Going Forward to continue.
